Donate Life Month in April

April is National Donate Life Month. RIODAC takes part in many community events during the month of April to increase awareness about the need for organ and tissue donors even more than usual during this month. From proclamations at the State House, to smaller proclamations in individual towns, appearance on college campuses, such as URI, to the Boston Marathon and the RI Blood Centers RIODAC volunteers are there. Last year the RI Blood Centers went green for Donate Life month in support. This year the staff at the RI DMVs will also be dressing down in blue and green each Friday in April in support of organ donation. And many branches will have tables out with blue and green decorations and small Donate Life items to give away on National Blue and Green Day. We thank them for helping us spread the word. Most volunteers can also be seen around town sporting their blue and green during April. Blue and green are the official Donate Life colors and are a subtle way to show your support of organ and tissue donation. A listing of scheduled events can be found below and also on our calendar of events. If you have an event in mind that you would like to see RIODAC at to promote Donate Life Month, please contact Jenny Hoffer at
